All refurbished devices are repackaged in a brand new box with all accessories and cables. The original Operating System or a more recent version. 2010 MACBOOK PRO PROCESSOR UPGRADE FULLIf I was to buy one I would check out the Apple website for a factory certified refurbished one.Īll refurbished Mac models are backed by a one-year warranty, have free delivery and returns, and also include: Full functional testing, genuine Apple part replacements (if necessary), and a thorough cleaning. Like you said you could get a monitor and essentially have a desktop and you said that you bring your iPad if you need something portable. 2010 MACBOOK PRO PROCESSOR UPGRADE UPGRADEUnless I just wanted to get it so I could have the latest and the greatest laptop. Mac book pro A1286 2.53Ghz i5 can I upgrade the processor and what other upgrades I already upgraded the RAM to 8Gb, changed my hard drive to SSD. While I do have more than enough money to pay cash for a brand new M1 MacBook Pro 14” I really don’t see the need to. It’s running great so I don’t want to upgrade it now. I have a 2015 i5 MacBook Pro 13 inch retina 8gb ram with 512gb SSD. I have no preference with the Touch Bar, as my current computer doesn’t have it, and I don’t really care about weight, as I usually bring my iPad when I need something portable.Īlso, is the upgrade to 16gb of ram with the mba or mbp beneficial? If it is or will be in the future I would rather spend my money now to get it. With this in mind, I am wondering which of the current options are best (2021 mbp 14”, 2020 mba or 2020 mbp). Further, I would like to buy a monitor and hook up my MacBook to the monitor to essentially have a desktop. I also don’t mind spending more on faster specs if they would help. With my current computer being quite slow, a CPU upgrade and the M1 chip would be a very welcome addition. With my current battery being essentially unusable unless I’m right next to the charge and being $200 to replace, I think it’s time for an upgrade. I first purchased this refurbished, so unfortunately I’ve had plenty of issues (LED screen crapped out after about a year needing a replacement, and now after 4 or so years the battery dies at a 30% charge and won’t last longer than 45 minutes of web browsing). I currently have a 2017 non Touch Bar i5 8gb dual cpu MacBook Pro.
